Cambridge English Exams

BEC –  Business English Certificate (BEC) Preliminary. It is the first in a series of three Cambridge   English Business Certificates. This qualification shows employers that you can communicate in English in practical everyday business situations. It is the same level as the Cambridge English: Preliminary (PET), but is focused on English in business situations. Level of qualification: Intermediate = B1 on the Common European Framework

BEC vantage – Cambridge English: Business Vantage is also known as the Business English Certificate Vantage (BEC Vantage). It is the second in a series of three Cambridge English Business Certificates. This qualification shows that you can communicate in English in a business environment. It is the same level as the Cambridge English: First (FCE) qualification, but is focused on English for business. Level of qualification: Upper Intermediate = B2 on the Common European Framework

BEC Higher  It is the final exam in a series of three Cambridge English Business Certificates. This qualification shows that you can communicate confidently in English in a business environment. It is the same level as the Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE), but is focused on English for business. Level of qualification: Advanced = C1 on the Common European Framework

BCTC – Business Cultural Trainer Certificate


ICFE-  Cambridge English: Financial is also known as the International Certificate in Financial English (ICFE).

This qualification proves to employers that you have the necessary advanced English skills to work successfully in international finance or accounting. Level of qualification: Upper-intermediate to Advanced = B2 and C1 on the Common European Framework. Who should take this exam? You should take this exam if you currently work, or want to work, in international finance or accounting. The Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) teaching award is an internationally recognised teaching qualification which follows a four week curriculum designed by the University of Cambridge. CELTA is considered to be an international benchmark English language teaching certification and the only qualification accepted by many language schools around the world. and

TOEIC – Test of English International Communication

The Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) is “an English language test designed specifically to measure the everyday English skills of people working in an international environment.” There are different forms of the exam: The TOEIC Listening & Reading Test consists of two equally graded tests of comprehension assessment activities totaling a possible 990 score; the newer TOEIC Speaking & Writing Test comprises tests of pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, fluency, overall coherence, and structure (organization of sentences) totaling a possible 400 score.

Pearson created PTE Academic in response to demand from institutions, government and other organisations for a more accurate way of testing non – native English language students who enter the English-speaking academia world with unrealistic expectations of university and business life after taking other English language proficiency tests.

PTE Academic is endorsed by the Graduate Management Admission Council. Amongst other universities, London Business School in the UK, Harvard Business School, Stanford Graduate School of Business, and Yale University in the USA accept PTE Academic scores. Other institutions in other countries, including Spain, France and China, have also signed up to accept PTE Academic. These include leading business schools such as INSEAD and HEC Paris in France, IESE, IE Business School and ESADE in Spain and SDA Bocconi in Italy . In addition to the business schools, there are also a number of arts and music colleges who accept the exam’s scores. In February 2013, opened a new test center in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia in association with the Malaysian British Educational Cooperation Services.

It is a computer-based exam which focuses on real-life English used in academic surroundings. This is to say that integrated language is used throughout the test and students will listen to a variety of accents and academic language which they will encounter at English-speaking higher education institutions.. 


The International Test of English Proficiency or iTEP is a language assessment tool that measures the English skills of non-native English speakers. The test is supported by more than 600 institutions including the California State University system.The test is available in more than 40 countries, and is also used by businesses, and governments such as Saudi Arabia, Colombia, and Mexico for large-scale initiatives. iTEP Core is an Internet-based exam that lasts 50 minutes and tests reading, grammar and listening. The iTEP Plus series lasts 90 minutes and also tests writing and speaking, requiring the test taker to submit writing and speaking samples. iTEP results are available instantly and iTEP Plus results are graded in 5 business days. The test costs $99USD and can be scheduled within 3 days, making it one of the most flexible and least expensive options among its competitors, which include TOEFL and IELTS. Between June 2012 and June 2013, the number of US institutions recognizing this test quadrupled. This growth is largely due to the retirement of ETS’s SLEP exam and the limited availability of their TOEFL Junior test. For more
